The 22 of September in Kiev, by the lead of the Supreme Council, committees and organizations that work in IT-industry in the working group on reforms in the direction of informatization of the country was held a round-table meeting “Building in Ukraine favorable conditions for developing the IT-industry.”
At the round-table meeting, which focused on discussing the draft laws “On the economic experiment to create the favorable conditions in Ukraine of software products industry” and “Alteration to the Internal Revenue Code of Ukraine On the economic experiment to create the favorable conditions in Ukraine of software products industry” was invited Juscutum legal advisers as one of the working team member. The laws provide establishment the special procedure of tax payments and payments for companies in information technology area. In particular, to fix a tax on profits in amount of 16%, the sole contribution to obligatory social insurance in the amount of 36.7% of the sum equal to two minimum salaries, taxes on individual person’s income in the form of salary in the amount of 10%, etc. Also provides liberation from VAT for services in information technology area.
By the “Draft Law of Ukraine “On the economic experiment to create the favorable conditions for develop software products industry in Ukraine” the Ukrainian government is demonstrating exceptional foresight. IT-industry, deprived of state support, is still one of the most successful areas in Ukrainian economy. In the IT-industry is a high concentration of young and talented professionals, that making it competitive in world markets. Development of the Information Technology industry is not connected to the load on natural resources. Export of intellectual products does not deprive the Ukrainian people of any goods, and, conversely, may be the hallmark of Ukraine”, – said Artem Afian.
